At Portsmouth Historic Dockyard we offer a fantastic range of education visits for primary and junior school groups. We provide experiences which cannot be created in the classroom and are designed to maximise pupils' learning experiences, with a range of options depending on curriculum, visit time and budget.

Take advantage of quality teaching and learning experiences in the multi award-winning Mary Rose Museum. See thousands of amazing Tudor artefacts rescued from the seabed alongside the ship’s hull. Give your pupils the opportunity to discover what life was like for a sailor in Lord Nelson’s Royal Navy.

Go on board HMS Victory and walk the decks where the crew ate, slept and fought.

HMS Warrior is the only surviving member of Queen Victoria’s Black Battle Fleet and has been restored to her original condition and offers four vast decks for you to explore and a unique learning environment for your pupils. Where else can you try out a hammock, sit at a mess table, peer inside a furnace and watch the engine machinery in motion?

Historic boathouse No.6 is home to Action Stations, filled with dozens of interactive hands-on displays, activities and simulators, pupils get a real taste of life in today’s Royal Navy.
