The Isle of Wight has more places of educational interest per square mile than anywhere else in Britain.

It is a rich resource - of great benefit to children - helping to meet many National Curriculum requirements.

It's no wonder, therefore, that more and more schools are choosing the Isle of Wight for their annual educational visit.

Leaving the organisation of your Isle of Wight Educational Visit to us allows you more time to concentrate your efforts on your chosen role - that of teaching.

We take care of all organisational aspects of your school journey - not just the obvious ones such as arranging coach and ferry transport and hotel accommodation.

If you are unfamiliar with the Isle of Wight, we will help you with your itinerary in line with your precise requirements under the National Curriculum. Not only will we book this for you but, unlike other operators, we will make payment of your entrance fees in advance of your visit, to ensure that you are expected and welcomed wherever you go, and eliminating the need for you to make individual payments on arrival.

Prior to your main school journey, we will arrange a two day familiarisation visit for two persons which includes not only an evening meal & bed and breakfast accommodation, but also a return ferry crossing for your car and passengers.

Our island-resident Representative, Gary Turner, has a wealth of knowledge of all aspects of the Island. He is available at all times during your stay and also during your familiarisation visit.

We provide all relevant teaching material in accordance with your chosen itinerary, and also pupil workpacks which contain related worksheets, project diary and a project diary.

We supply payment cards for the accurate recording of all monies paid by the pupils for their visit.

Free teacher places are at a ratio of one free teacher for every eight paying pupils, but we are flexible on this. Should you require more adult places, an additional charge will be made. Equally, should you require less, an allowance will be given. In any event, the exact number of staff places you require will be clearly marked on your itinerary.

You will find our prices in line with those of our competitors but it is clear to see that you get so much more for your money with Activity Island.

Should you be on a tighter budget, our associated company, Isle of Wight School Journeys, offers an abbreviated service (as outlined on the "packages" page) in line with other operators, but with the benefit of our excellent standards, and at much reduced prices.
